#3 You Know You’re Filipino If You Have A Rosary On Your Rearview Mirror

Filipinos are famously religious. We call ourselves the only Christian nation in Asia. Churches are full almost every sunday and shrines are visited by thousands every single day. After all, in a crises stricken country such as the Philippines, people sometimes have no choice but to turn to a Supreme Being, whether it be Jesus Christ, Allah, Buddha, Yahweh among others. Sad thing is, people seem to be doing what they do because of two things:

  1. the need for help /divine intercession
  2. culture.

So, are the Filipinos worshipping because of their time-tested faith and love of God and not just because that’s what’s dictated by the tenets of tradition?

I can only hope so. šŸ™‚
