#2 You Know You’re Filipino If Flipflops are a Staple in Your Daily Attire

From the humble Spartan to the chic Havaianas, Filipinos use ém all. The former for the more thrifty and practical Pinoy and the latter for those with some cash to burn. Nevertheless, slippers are essential to pinoy living. Philippines is a country of 2 seasons, wet and not so wet. In times when countless puddles such as this:

line the streets, one could count on his/her trusty tsinelas to take all the dirt which can easily be washed off later. Another use for them is comfort after a whole day in heels. You’d see countless women at the end of the day, in business attire wearing slippers. Others just wear them for their style and accessibility. No more strings or straps.Just slip ém on, slip ém off.

Simple as that. 🙂
